GROUP EFFORT was a collaboration between RADAR, Liz Anderson and Kimberly Varella of the Department of Graphic Sciences, Allen Compton of SALT, and Dave King of DTK Builders. Together we submitted a project entitled GIMME SHELTER to the Silver Lake Streetscape Design Competition for Sunset Junction.
We proposed to spend the entire budget on a single, very large California sycamore, and to convert the existing intersection to an all-cross, diagonal pedestrian operation.
